Vintage Polo Ralph Lauren Hand Knit Fair Isle Sweater Vest - Large

This is the rack find that makes you stop scrolling hangers. It’s a vintage Polo by Ralph Lauren sweater vest, hand knit in 100% cotton with an all-over Fair Isle pattern. The palette is warm and earthy: camel, mustard, chocolate brown, olive, and flecks of rust red. It’s preppy without trying, and it has the heft only a hand-knit piece has.

Fair Isle has been a Polo signature for decades. Hand-knit Polo pieces are the ones collectors look for, because the knitting is chunkier and denser and has more character than the machine-made versions. We found this one, inspected it, and photographed it ourselves. There’s only one.
