Blumenkränze, ewiges Tageslicht und ein schwer zu deutendes Lächeln. Dieser Midsommar-Druck verwandelt Ari Asters Folk-Horrorfilm von 2019 in ein schlichtes, vom Mid-Century-Stil inspiriertes Design. Ein körniges Schwarz-Weiß-Porträt setzt sich vor einem verblassten Türkisblock ab, eingerahmt von warmem Creme und kontrastreichen Schweizer Typografielinien.

Das Design orientiert sich an alten Filmplakaten und Grafikdesign der 1960er: eine reduzierte Palette aus Schwarz, Senf und Türkis, ein strenges typografisches Raster und eine strukturierte Papieroptik, als stamme der Druck aus einer Werkstatt vor Jahrzehnten. Aus der Nähe beunruhigend, aus der Ferne beruhigend – ganz wie der Film selbst.

How do I choose the right size?
A good rule of thumb is to choose art that is about two-thirds the width of the furniture it hangs above, such as a sofa, bed, or console. For a large empty wall, a bigger statement piece usually looks more intentional than a small one.
